Event: Invitation to North Florida Ideation Session

Dear Colleagues~~
We write today to invite you to a half-day ideation session where we can think together about the future of writing and rhetoric. The session will be offered in two formats—in person on Friday, Oct 23, from 10AM to 3PM on the Florida State University campus, in the Common Room, from 10-3; and online on Wed, Oct 28 via zoom, from 6:30 to 9 <link to be provided>. In each three-part session, we’ll begin by celebrating writing, its teaching; and its research; we’ll continue by considering possible futures for the collective of writing studies professionals; and we’ll close by identifying organizational specifics we hope will help map the field’s future.
Regardless of where you live and/or work, please do join us, in person or online. To help us prepare for the sessions, please also complete the following registration form: https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6eZEPTTWRCYQ1kG. For our own planning purposes, we’d appreciate your completing the form by Friday, October 2.
We look forward to seeing you, to working with you, and to planning a future with you.
