The Dangling Modifier is now accepting submissions for its Fall/Winter 2026 Theme!
The Dangling Modifier is an international online publication that allows peer writing tutors to share their experiences and connect with other tutors. It is produced in association with the National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing and pieces are published on a rolling basis. Our mission is not just publication, but to empower undergraduate writers to pursue their goals with confidence and to embark on a journey of writing and publication.
Our Fall/Winter Theme is Sparking Curiosity! Consider answering and reflecting on the following questions:
- When do you see the spark for curiosity appear in student writers?
- What made you curious about tutoring? How has your own spark for tutoring grown?
- A spark is quick; how do you, as the tutor, help it to become a continuous light in your tutees?
- Were there times where your spark was dimmed? If so, how did you help foster it again?
- When did your curiosity aid you in becoming a better tutor?
Share your spark now! Submit your essays, blog posts, articles, and multimodal pieces for publication!
The 1st submission deadline is October 30th. Submission criteria and submission form can be found on the Dangling Modifier site.
