Now that we have a revised website and an open portal for submitting proposals, we are thrilled to reinvite participation and engagement. Please consider submitting proposals and/or volunteering to review them. ~Josh, Mariya, Sean, & Shelley
Dear Writing Studies Community,
We are excited to share our Call for Proposals for Computers and Writing 2027 in Tucson, Arizona! This year, our conference theme, Resilience – Adaptive Persistence in Computers and Writing, builds off of the work and themes from last year’s conference on digital rhetorics and sustainable change. The conference will be held from June 3-5 and there will be a lower-cost option to stay in the dorms.
Please find our CFP here: https://www.candwconf.com/cfp
We are estimating the following timeline, but know that some of these dates might change slightly once we know the number of proposals.
10/7/26: Conference Website & Proposal Portal Updated/Posted
11/15/26: Conference Proposals Due
2/1/27: Acceptances Sent Out & Registration Portal
Please forward this call to individuals and communities to whom you think might be interested.
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. In the meantime, we are looking forward to sharing our beautiful campus and city with all of you next year!
Best,
Josh & Shelley
