Dear Colleagues,
Over the past decade, we (University of Rochester—R1 School) have made tremendous progress developing long-term promotable NTE positions. However, owing to current economic instability, our administration has added new language that allows them to let faculty in these positions go before their contracts are up. I’m currently on a committee that is composing a response to this situation, and my hope is that those at other R1 institutions might be able to help me/us by completing a very brief survey.
Responses will be used internally to inform policy recommendations. I am also happy to share what I learn on request. I am truly grateful for any help you can offer!
