Apply: The WAC Journal — search for a new editor/editorial team

Dear WAC SG members,

I hope your work feels manageable, your weather is cooperating, and that no ransomware attacks are disrupting your days!

I’m writing with a note from Michael Pemberton regarding a search for a new editor or editorial team for The WAC Journal:
Editor, The WAC Journal
The WAC Clearinghouse and Parlor Press are seeking a new editor (or a new editorial team, should a group wish to apply collectively) for The WAC Journal. First published in 1989, the journal is the longest-running journal devoted to writing across the curriculum in the field. It receives some support from the Clearinghouse for hosting and publishing the journal, assigning DOIs to articles, and conducting reviews of submissions. The editor (or editorial team) will be responsible for assembling a new editorial review board, reviewing and revising (as needed) existing editorial policies, working with the editorial team of the WAC Clearinghouse, and publishing one issue of the journal per year.
To apply, please send a letter of application and a current CV(s) to the search committee Chair, Michael Pemberton, at michaelp by June 15, 2026. Letters should be accompanied by (1) a CV(s), noting any editorial experience, and (2) a statement of vision, to include any suggestions for changing the journal as well as features of the journal to be continued. Applicants are urged to consult with local institutional leaders on the question of time, resources, and other services that may be required. For more information, please contact Michael Pemberton.

Sounds like a great opportunity!

All the best,
Kristi
