Volunteer with Write the World (Flexible, Remote Opportunities)
Write the World is a global nonprofit that supports teen writers (ages 13–19) through writing programs and monthly competitions reaching over 140,000 students in over 125 countries.
We’re currently seeking volunteers to join our Community Support Team, a group of educators, writers, and professionals who help our platform run smoothly and support young writers around the world.
Volunteers typically begin as Shortlisters, reading and evaluating submissions for our monthly competitions to help identify standout pieces and elevate diverse student voices. With experience, there are additional opportunities to get involved, including providing feedback on student writing (such as college essays), reviewing drafts, or helping support a safe and engaging online community.
Our volunteers play a direct role in building students’ confidence, strengthening their writing, and expanding access to meaningful mentorship.
All opportunities are fully remote, with flexible time commitments (starting at ~1 hour/month). Training and support are provided.
