We are currently accepting proposals for the 2026 State University of New York Council on Writing conference to be held at the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY, in New York City on November 7, 2026 (with a pre-conference workshop planned for 11/6). Although a SUNY conference, we welcome proposals from across the region, nation, and beyond.
Our theme, "Foundations: Centering Writing in Education and Public Life," invites proposers to consider writing as a foundational practice for education and public life, a vehicle for shaping meaningful intellectual and civic engagement.
