As you’re registering for SIGDOC 2026, consider adding one of the four workshops offered on the morning of Oct. 23. I’ll be highlighting all four over the next couple of weeks. Check out this one for now:
Designing the Next Generation of Technical Communication Video: A Collaborative Content Strategy Workshop
Presenters: Daniel Liddle and Yoonji Kim
Participants will learn how scholarly video content is designed from start to finish—from ideation and content strategy to scripting, filming, editing, and publication—and then apply this understanding through structured brainstorming activities. The end product of the workshop will be a set of participant-generated video ideas or low-fidelity storyboards that may inform future MTM content. By participating, attendees serve as critical contributors to an ongoing, community-centered conversation about how technical communication is represented through video, while also gaining practical experience in content strategy and online video communication.
