Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Board of the Consortium of Doctoral Programs in Rhetoric and Composition, I’m writing to share our “Statement of Continuity and Commitment,” developed in response to NCTE’s decision to de-charter CCCC.
We held the statement briefly as events continued to unfold. With this week’s welcome news that CCCC 2027 will still be held as a national gathering, we believe this is a particularly good moment to share it.
As an organization representing doctoral programs in rhetoric and composition, the Consortium has a particular interest in what comes next. Our statement affirms our commitment to sustaining the scholarly relationships, professional networks, and institutional structures that support doctoral education and help reproduce our field across generations.
