The ECWCA book club is happy to announce that our chosen book for the Winter/Spring 2024 semester will be Writing Centers and Racial Justice: A Guidebook for Critical Praxis, edited by Talisha Haltiwanger Morrison and Deidre Anne Evans Garriott. We are also excited to open our book club (as well as our Article of the Month Club mentioned in a previous email) to folks outside the ECWCA and NEWCA regions. Welcome!
Our book club will meet three times on Zoom throughout February, March, and April to discuss different sections of the book.
Our book club meetings will be held on the following Tuesdays at 12:30pm EST/EDT:
- February 13: Discussion of introduction and chapters 1-4
- March 19: Discussion of chapters 5-9
- April 16: Discussion of chapters 10-15
The section facilitator will email you the Zoom link before the meeting date. Participants are asked to acquire their own copies of the book.
Those interested in participating in the first meeting of our book club this semester should sign up here by Friday, February 9. Feel free to share this sign-up form with other writing center folks as well!
